Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician 

Location: Baltimore, Maryland 

Job Type: Full-Time 

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Facilities Manager 

Position Summary: 


We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of facilities around Greater Baltimore. This role requires hands-on experience in minor electrical, minor plumbing, and general building maintenance. 


Key Responsibilities: 


  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and plumbing systems. 
  • Conduct inspections of facilities and identifies issues before breakdowns occur. 
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner. 
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues within facilities and perform necessary repairs. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. 
  • Operate hand and power tools. 


Qualifications: 


  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certificate is a plus. 
  • 2+ years of experience in general building maintenance or related field. 
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and power tools. 
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Basic computer skills for work order management and email communication. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Time management and organizational skills. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces. 
  • Valid driverโ€™s license. 


Work Schedule & Environment: 


  • Full-time; typical schedule is [Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM โ€“ 3:30 PM], with occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed. 
  • Work performed both indoors and outdoors, in varying environmental conditions and warehouse settings.
