JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team and work alongside our Maintenance Team to perform general routine maintenance and necessary repairs around our community. Our community strives to provide the best living environment for our patients and residents!

Education/Experience:
  • 3-5 years relevant experience (Required)
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills while working individually
  • Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)

Essential Functions & Requirements:
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems
  • Complete assigned work orders proficiently and in a timely manner
  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs
  • Plans repair work using building blueprints or equipment manual as needed
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures
  • Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the facilities
  • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance
  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them
  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked

Customer service
  • Perform job duties for residents and team members in a courteous and professional manner
  • Taking initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority
  • Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents' families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors, and regulators)
  • Answer phones appropriately, according to company and community standards

Physical/Sensory Requirement:
  • Must be able to exert 35-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 50 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
  • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents and staff
  • Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the community
