Job Summary:

The Maintenance worker is under the direction of the maintenance supervisor with guidance on maintenance.  Ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, effectively and meets Licensing/Code standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 1st shift. Mon-Friday
  • Hands on ability to maintain and repair Agency properties/residence to include carpentry (wall/ceiling repair), painting, basic plumbing, electrical etc. utilizing power and hands tools to complete work.
  • Works in a safe manner when doing work at sites, reports any unsafe conditions observe
  • must be able to drive to locations daily. (to perform maintenance duties) 
  • Must be capable of lifting/positioning heavy/bulky items such as rock, plywood, kitchen appliances, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a self-starter, have initiative and flexibility, and be able to perform work with a minimum supervision.
  • Must have 2-5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
  • Must display sound prioritizing skills, understanding what has to be done vs. that which can be schedule out.
  • Must have good jack-of-all trade’s skills. Must demonstrate safe operation of hand and power tools to include drills and saws
  • Must know how to troubleshoot and display sound judgment as to when the job is beyond his/her capability.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to lead our clients, must be sensitive to any special needs and safety issues.
  • Must be capable of working outside on extreme conditions such as cleaning of snow, heat, cold, or wet conditions.
  • Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)
