Maintenance Technician / Warehouse Worker

The Maintenance Technician, and Warehouse Worker is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's cleaning service by performing equipment maintenance, handling and transporting inventory, and assisting with janitorial duties. This person is a key support for field cleaning crews, ensuring they have the right equipment and supplies to complete their jobs safely and effectively. The ideal candidate is a reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual with a focus on safety and strong time management skills.

Essential duties and responsibilities

    • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors.
    • Police the parking lot for trash, cut the grass.
    • Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and polishers.
    • Clean and sanitize break rooms, restrooms, office areas, and other common spaces.
    • Empty trash, manage recycling, and dispose of waste materials according to company procedures.
    • Clean walls, windows, and shelving as needed.
  • General maintenance and repairs:
    • Perform minor repairs on building infrastructure, including fixing leaks, changing light bulbs and fixtures, and repairing minor drywall damage.
    • Assist with preventative maintenance on cleaning equipment, machinery, and cleaning tools.
    • Notify management of the need for major repairs or maintenance.
  • Warehouse support:
    • Operate equipment such as a forklift or pallet jack to move materials or equipment as needed.
    • Support the organization of the warehouse by moving and assembling shelves, furniture, or equipment.
    • Assist with inventory management and stocking of cleaning supplies and materials.
  • Safety and security:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including those for chemical cleaners and power equipment.
    • Monitor the premises for safety hazards and ensure all walkways and emergency exits are clear.
    • Assist with securing the building at the end of shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience in a cleaning or maintenance role is a plus.
  • Experience with industrial cleaning equipment is preferred.
