Position Details:
  • Pay is $24 - $28 an hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule is Monday - Friday from 2am - 10:30am
Position Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Performs general electrical and/or repairs of various equipment on company premises. Conducts periodic inspections to determine the maintenance work required. They keep our associates safe by maintaining all equipment inside the warehouses/buildings and ensuring it meets industry standards and operates efficiently according to its specific tasks.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Review work schedule
  • Perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
  • Perform building and grounds maintenance and general upkeep duties as needed.
  • Assist Facilities Manager and other personnel with installations, modifications, adjustments and replacements of tools equipment and any other maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Maintain warehouse, operate power equipment to sweep, wash warehouse floors, aisles, clean-up spills, remove trash and debris.
  • Perform scheduled custodial duties, paint, scrape, power wash and other projects as assigned, fill and maintain the cardboard baler.
  • Perform light maintenance (e.g., change light bulbs, unstop toilets, clean carpets, duct work, set-up conference rooms, etc) as needed.
  • Assist warehouse personnel, outside contractors and maintenance personnel on special maintenance projects as directed.
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.
  • Perform PMs on all equipment to include but not limited to, Conveyor/Powered Industrial Trucks/Specialized Equipment.
  • Ability to make repairs as needed.
  • Responsible for completing Work Orders Maintenance recap reports accurate and submitted daily to Management Communicate with vendors and provide quotes for management review
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Required Qualifications
โ€ข High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
โ€ข 1+ year maintenance, mechanic repair and/or related area
โ€ข Knowledge in both electrical system troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance
โ€ข Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 30 lbs. regularly, up to 65 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
โ€ข Ability to work in a warehouse environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Two-year college or technical school or equivalent work experience
โ€ข 2+ years of mechanical/electrical experience and demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
โ€ข Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
โ€ข AC & DC Servo drives
โ€ข Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
โ€ข Building/equipment maintenance experience in warehouse environment a plus
โ€ข Conveyor repairs, installation, preventive maintenance
โ€ข Certifications: OSHA Forklift operator certificate; HVAC certification; welding certification, electrical certification.
