POSITION OVERVIEW

The Air Export Warehouse Manager will provide hands‑on leadership for a fast‑paced air export warehouse operation, overseeing the movement of cargo from receiving through final airline tender. This position will lead warehouse staff, coordinate daily workflow and scheduling, maintain safety and regulatory compliance, and ensure critical shipping deadlines are met. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead daily air export warehouse activities, including cargo receiving, inspection, dimension and weight verification, screening, staging, consolidation, ULD build‑up, and timely airline tender.
  • Manage and support warehouse personnel while coordinating schedules, labor allocation, productivity, overtime, training, and appropriate leadership coverage.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable air cargo security, Dangerous Goods/HAZMAT, bonded cargo, workplace safety, and chain‑of‑custody requirements.
  • Coordinate with airline ground handling teams, transportation providers, vendors, and other logistics partners to ensure efficient cargo handoffs and adherence to critical tender deadlines.
  • Monitor operational performance, cargo discrepancies, inventory accuracy, equipment utilization, safety, and service levels while identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes.
  • Maintain a hands‑on presence within the operation and assist with forklift and material‑handling activities when needed to support the team and keep cargo moving efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in air export, air cargo, freight forwarding, international logistics, or a related warehouse operation.
  • Experience leading warehouse teams and coordinating staffing, schedules, workflow, productivity, and time‑sensitive operational priorities.
  • Knowledge of air cargo safety, security, and regulatory requirements; experience with Dangerous Goods, HAZMAT, cargo screening, bonded cargo, or similar compliance areas is highly valued.
  • Ability and willingness to operate a forklift and occasionally lift approximately 40–45 pounds when operational support is needed.
  • Ability to work a flexible five‑day schedule within a Monday–Saturday operation, including afternoon/evening hours and overtime as business needs require, and successfully complete required pre‑employment and security screening.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This full‑time, direct‑hire opportunity offers approximately $65,000–$75,000 in annualized base compensation , depending on experience, air cargo expertise, certifications, and overall qualifications. Final compensation will be structured as an hourly/non‑exempt rate and includes a guaranteed 40‑hour workweek with additional overtime earning potential based on operational needs. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage with dependent options, paid time off, a retirement plan with employer contribution, performance‑based bonus opportunities, and additional employee benefits. This position is 100% onsite in the Los Angeles, California area and requires flexibility to work afternoon and evening hours, with a five‑day schedule that may include Saturdays.
