Manufacturing Maintenance Technician IV

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician IV is a high-level technical support position which provides support in maintaining manufacturing equipment in good working conditions.  Additionally, the Maintenance Tech IV co-ordinates and maintains communication with end-user(s), and various levels of the Leadership Team, repairs and projects associated with manufacturing processes and equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues across systems and equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance

• Lead and mentor junior technicians and support developing their technical skills

• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks for production equipment based on CMMS schedule

• Prioritize tasks and follow established work instructions and procedures

• Troubleshoot PLCs, computer-driven, and multi-feature equipment

• Work well under minimal supervision

• Communicate with external contractors and vendors to resolve chronic equipment issues as needed

• Commission and decommission production equipment as needed

• Adhere closely to safety protocol and all EHS guidelines

• Install compressed air lines and their associated components

• Install electrical wiring, conduits, boxes, etc.

• Support the 6S methodology

• Assist in buildings’ maintenance as needed

Qualification Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least five (7) years of experience in a similar function in an is industrial setting required!

• Extensive hands-on experience maintaining various manufacturing machinery

• Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency with diagnostic tools (multi-meters, sensors, etc.)

• Understand and troubleshoot control systems

• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings

• Working knowledge in 110-220 VAC single-phase and 208-480VAC three-phase electrical systems

• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of personnel

• Must be able to use a PC to track work orders, communicate, etc.

Must have the ability to perform the following tasks (training may be provided if applicable):

• Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, high-reach boom and scissor lifts

• Able to stand and/or walk continuously for the duration of the shift

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. continuously

• Able to work at heights of 20 feet or higher
