In This Role You Will:

  • Maintain community buildings and grounds and help keep them in good condition throughout the year.
  • Complete assigned corrective and preventive maintenance work orders and document completed work accurately.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot problems involving plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems within your level of training and experience.
  • Assist with renovation and residential turnover work, including cleaning, patching, scraping, and painting.
  • Replace HVAC filters and light bulbs, service water softeners, and perform other routine repairs and maintenance to buildings, equipment, and furnishings.
  • Install appliances and equipment, hang pictures, and assemble or disassemble furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist contractors, receive and organize supplies and equipment, and maintain clean and orderly work and storage areas.
  • Perform all work safely and help secure worksites from potential safety hazards.

Shift Details:

  • Must be willing to participate in an on-call and/or weekend rotation.
  • Must be willing to work additional or irregular hours during urgent or emergency situations.

Who You Are:

  • You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • You have experience using basic hand and electrical tools.
  • You are willing and able to learn new skills through on-the-job training and instruction.
  • You can read technical manuals, follow instructions, and perform basic mathematical calculations involving weights and measurements.
  • You can communicate technical information effectively.
  • You are dependable, safety-minded, and able to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
