What does maintenance tech 2 mean?

A Maintenance Tech II is a skilled technician responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on equipment and systems. To thrive as a Maintenance Tech II, you need a solid background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, often supported by vocational training or relevant certifications. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), hand and power tools, and safety protocols is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are vital soft skills for this role. These competencies ensure timely and efficient maintenance operations, minimize downtime, and contribute to a safe, productive work environment.
