Maintenance Tech II
Job Description
Job Summary:
Dekko Avila is a full-service tier 1 supplier of injection molded products and value-added assemblies. In this role, you will make sure daily job requirements and duties are fulfilled while promoting a safe working environment for all Dekko stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for understanding how things work and have sharp senses that help you locate minor faults quickly. This position reports to the Avilla engineering manager and will work collaboratively with all members of the Avilla team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Follow all plant safety procedures and guidelines without exception
  • Maintain a positive attitude with customers and fellow employees to foster a team concept
  • Troubleshoot; diagnose; and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Utilize maintenance system for creating and completing work orders.
  • Control downtime by supporting operations associates of routine preventative maintenance and operation techniques and monitor compliance.
  • Carry out maintenance process per supervisor instructions expeditiously and perform tasks in a professional manner.
  • Support workflows, effective layout, and optimum process conditions.
  • Provide P.M. for facilities, equipment and production equipment.
  • Suggest modifications and improvements to PM.
  • Accurately document time and materials on PM forms or work order.
  • Determine possible maintenance problems, identify, and repair.
  • Review and provide input on new and existing facility equipment.
  • Support cost savings and process improvement programs for the manufacturing site.
  • Support housekeeping programs for the manufacturing site.
  • Executes other duties/tasks as assigned by management leadership

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance and building maintenance methods.
  • Able to read standard blueprints.
  • Communication skills that will allow technical to ordinary communication.
  • Electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installations
  • Hydraulic systems maintenance repair and installations
  • Pneumatic systems maintenance repair and installations
  • Welding (stick, tig, or mig) is a plus
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Forklift Certified - General Production that assists in product movement only.

Education, Certificates & or Experience:
  • High School or equivalent
  • Manufacturing maintenance technician experience (preferred)

Other Requirements:
  • The position may require intermittent day travel in support of other Dekko manufacturing facilities
