Description:

The Packaging Supervisor is a fulltime position that has responsibility to ensure that all seed packages (bags or bulk units) are labeled legibly and accurately per work orders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage inventories of all packaging materials.
  • Daily supervision of other employees working within the packaging processes.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment and implementing company safety programs.
  • Implementing Remington QMS (ISO) program within area of responsibility.
  • Performing offseason maintenance on packaging and conditioning equipment.
  • Ensuring proper set up of bag labeling equipment.
  • Ensuring that seed pallets are neatly stacked and securely wrapped prior to placement in the warehouse.
  • Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area.
  • Able to lift and stack materials up to 68 pounds.
  • Utilize computer to record, locate inventory, and create package labeling.
Requirements:
  • Agricultural background and experience is preferred
  • Computer skills in spreadsheet and word processing
  • Excellent communications skills with positive attitude
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy
  • Cooperative and willing to assist others
  • Well organized
