Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Company's plant rules of conduct, health, and safety are applied and enforced. Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during maintenance planning and execution.
  • Work directly with the Maintenance Manager, Planner, Superintendents, and Reliability team to schedule all required Major Maintenance tasks. Analyze equipment performance data and failure trends to adjust maintenance strategies and improve asset reliability.
  • Work directly with the Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, and Finance team to develop an annual maintenance budget.
  • Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely ordering and availability of spare parts, services, and materials. Review and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) to ensure parts availability and reduce delays in Major Maintenance execution.
  • Forecast costs for labor, materials, spare parts, and contracted services based on planned Major Maintenance activities.
  • Support shutdown and turnaround planning by developing detailed task lists, resource requirements, and execution timelines.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule compliance, backlog management, and equipment uptime. Participate in root cause analysis (RCFA) and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate and participate effectively with the plant operation team to resolve scheduling conflicts and prioritize urgent repairs. Continuously improve scheduling processes and tools to enhance maintenance efficiency and reduce unplanned downtime..
  • The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler may occasionally assume supervisory responsibilities during critical situations and is expected to be on-call to oversee mechanical repairs as needed.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenace or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance planing or scheduling in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficient in CMMS software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or simialr).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and BOMs.
  • Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and lean maintenance practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with scheduling tools like MS Project is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to safety and compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project coordination capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with technicians, engineers, vendors, and operations teams.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work at heights, climb stairs and ladders, and bend or stoop for long periods in varying weather conditions and high noise levels.
