Job description

Plans, schedules, and monitors preventive maintenance/construction trades repair work orders and prepares related field personnel work order schedules for water and wastewater utility facilities, including but not limited to raw water wells, water/wastewater treatment facilities, pumping/lift stations, water/reclaimed water distribution, piping, wastewater collection piping, reclaimed water distribution, and building facilities. Assesses needs; reviews job plans; edits work orders to provide specific instructions; routes work orders to other sections; compiles statistical data; generates reports; improves workforce productivity; reduces delays through planning and coordination of manpower, equipment, and materials. Performs work under the general supervision of the Asset Management Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
• Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification ; minimum of four (4) years of experience in water/wastewater utility maintenance and/or construction, including two (2) years of experience in preventive maintenance and repairs AND one (1) year of experience in planning and scheduling utility maintenance work orders using spreadsheet or database computer systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
• Experience using Microsoft Excel/other spreadsheet software (must specify on application), and
• Experience using Maximo/other computerized maintenance management system (must specify on application).
