Job description

Join our dedicated team in South Royalton, VT, as a Millwright/Maintenance Technician, where your skills will be pivotal in maintaining the seamless operation of our sawmill facility. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, focusing on preventative maintenance and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in mechanical systems, project management, and electrical systems, contributing to a safe and efficient workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on sawmill machinery, including saws, conveyors, and other equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Operate welding equipment and other hand tools for repairs and fabrication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all industry safety practices, including fall protection, lock-out tag-out, and hot-works.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain an inventory of parts and lubricants.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proven experience in sawmill maintenance or industrial maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge.
