Job Description:
We're seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Manager to help operate and maintain some of the most essential environments in our portfolio-including Class A commercial properties and complex healthcare facilities. In this role, you're not just performing maintenance-you're playing a direct role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and building occupants.
You'll handle day-to-day operations, preventative maintenance, and on-call support across a portfolio where uptime, compliance, and quality are paramount. From clinical care spaces to high-visibility commercial offices, your work keeps critical infrastructure functioning at its best.

What You'll Do
  • Direct, schedule, supervise and perform preventive maintenance work, service response, equipment repairs and projects on assigned managed properties and 3rd party maintenance.
  • Solicit bids and monitor performance from subcontractors for all necessary testing and inspection on buildings mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and building automation systems.
  • Proactively work with property manager/Chief Engineer to ensure:
  • Proper services are provided to the buildings
  • Development, monitoring of building budgets
  • Project planning and completion
  • Tenant Improvement planning and coordination
  • Development or adjustment and implementation of building emergency plans.
  • Respond professionally and expeditiously to tenant and service requests.

  • Monitor/order and approve purchases for building supplies and materials.
  • Participate in on call, after hours and weekend rotation.
  • Supervise three to five maintenance engineers and or maintenance technicians

Who You Are
  • An experienced, service-driven Lead Engineer who understands the stakes of maintaining critical environments
  • Comfortable working independently in high-performance spaces, including those with sensitive or regulated systems
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance with a focus on minimizing downtime
  • Capable of physical tasks (lifting, overhead work, ladder use, outdoor conditions)
  • A confident communicator who can build rapport with internal teams and building occupants alike
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Basic computer skills required; familiarity with Microsoft 365 is a plus

Candidate Requirements:
  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent in the operation of commercial buildings and equipment preferred.
  • Minimum five years experience in commercial or industrial building operations.
  • Hold regional or local licensing/certifications to operate a building.
  • Must have universal CFC certification; able to attain local licensing or certification as required to operate a building.
  • Universal CFC, SMA, SMT, LEED certification, others as applicable preferred.
  • Good computer literacy in Word, Excel and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of energy management system.
  • Experience working within budget constraints preferred.

Bonus Points If You Have
  • Prior experience supporting healthcare facilities or regulated environments
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems and basic controls
  • High proficiency with Microsoft 365 and digital maintenance tools

Compensation:
The annual salary is $80,000 - 95,000 per year. The base salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities.
