Job Title:Maintenance Engineer

Pay Details:

The starting hourly rate range for this position is $33.00 to $36.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.

The Maintenance Engineer supports the day-to-day operation of a large sports and entertainment venue campus spanning 100+ acres. This is a full-time, hourly role within the Operations Department and is responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen equipment, electrical systems, and plumbing infrastructure across multiple properties.

Key duties include installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial kitchen equipment; supporting electrical distribution and lighting systems; servicing motors and components; and performing plumbing repairs to fixtures and piping. The role also includes basic HVAC support such as filter changes, belt checks, and routine equipment inspections.

The ideal candidate brings strong diagnostic skills, can read technical drawings, maintain accurate maintenance logs, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. Candidate must be flexible in work schedule to accommodate event-based needs including a variety of shifts to include nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

Commercial Kitchen & Food Service Equipment

  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, griddles, stoves, warmers, and dishwashers

  • Service food service refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, and icemakers

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment performance and operational issues

Electrical Systems & Controls

  • Install and maintain electrical systems, including circuitry, panels, breakers, transformers, disconnects, and lighting

  • Support power distribution systems (120/208V and 277/480V)

  • Service motor controls, starters, relays, contactors, VFDs, and PLC components

  • Perform electrical diagnostics using meters, testing equipment, and schematics

  • Follow electrical safety practices, including lockout/tagout and arc-flash awareness

Mechanical Systems (Pumps & Motors)

  • Install, maintain, and repair pumps and motors of varying sizes and capacities

Plumbing Systems

  • Install and repair plumbing systems, including piping, fittings, fixtures, and connected equipment

  • Maintain restrooms, sinks, drains, and other commercial plumbing components

Building Systems Support

  • Perform routine maintenance on air handling equipment, including filter and belt changes

  • Inspect, monitor, and log performance of boilers, chillers, and air handlers

  • Support building control systems and routine equipment inspections

General Maintenance

  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall facility operations

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a commercial/industrial facility

  • Skilled in electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, fabrication, and mechanical troubleshooting

  • State-certified in electrical or refrigeration preferred

  • Excellent follow-through skills

  • Energetic, self-motivated, and eager to learn new operating procedures
