At FutureCare our Maintenance Directors is responsible for developing and executing the maintenance prevention program within the facility and determines the need for emergency renovation, carpentry services, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance services as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and approve all necessary repairs/improvements for the facility systems and processes to ensure efficiency, safety and compliance
  • Maintain accurate safety records and logs and produce required reports as needed
  • Supervise and monitor maintenance staff and maintenance contractors working in the facility
  • Provide ongoing preventative maintenance and upkeep of the facility, building, building systems, fire/safety equipment and medical equipment
  • Inspect maintenance work for quality, safety, and compliance
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment (workshop)
  • Verify daily logs of refrigerator temperatures
  • Validate daily test and logs of water temperatures within the facility
  • Mandate and observe budgetary guidelines regarding supplies and service and follows proper procedure as if relates to purchase order system and approval before ordering supplies.
  • Adhere to facility policies and procedures
  • Acts as chairperson for Safety Committee
  • Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
  • Assure compliance with State and Federal Regulatory codes

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent; College degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering is highly preferred
  • Must have at least 5years experience in plant engineering and a maintenance supervisory role
  • Expertise in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automation systems, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC are essential
  • Working knowledge of the principles of supervision, organization and administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Must exercise considerable independent judgment
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills are required to work with facility staff, contractors and general public
