Job description

Overview
The Maintenance Co-op is a 9-12 week, part-time opportunity designed for students pursuing education in automotive, diesel, or a related technical program. Students will gain hands-on exposure to a professional maintenance shop environment while supporting day-to-day shop operations.
This role allows students to assist with basic shop and facility upkeep, support the parts department, and observe experienced technicians while learning about equipment maintenance and repair in a real-world setting.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with building and grounds maintenance
  • Help maintain shop cleanliness and organization
  • Sweep floors, empty trash cans, and assist with painting projects
  • Support the parts department with stocking, organizing, shipping, and receiving
  • Maintain organized parts and supply areas
  • Observe and assist technicians with very minor repairs and maintenance tasks under direct supervision
  • Assist maintenance team with general shop support activities

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an automotive, diesel, or related technical program
  • Interest in maintenance, mechanical work, or transportation equipment
  • Ability to work safely around shop equipment and follow all safety procedures
  • Basic math skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
