Job description

SUMMARY
As a Youth Apprentice, you participate in a comprehensive internship program that introduces you to a wide range of clinical and health experiences. This is a paid internship that offers you an opportunity to be assigned to one of our clinical/non-clinical departments during your senior/junior year of high school - giving you a glimpse of potential careers in healthcare. Please note that students must attend RCSD schools or charter schools or be a student of the urban/suburban program.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Varied. Depending on department
  • Patient Care. Provide direct and indirect patient care activities, facilitating wherever needed; work with patients in relation to nutritional, skin integrity, elimination and hygiene needs; take patient vital signs
  • Admission & Discharge. Assist with the admission, discharge and transfer of patients
  • Clerical Management. Maintain patient charts as needed
