Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. As a Mainframe Logical Security Engineer, you will be part of the IT Operations Department supporting the Mainframe Security and Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Hybrid in Phoenix, Arizona

Contract on W2

What's the Job?

  • Design, implement, and manage security controls across IBM z/OS environments to ensure system integrity and compliance.
  • Administer and maintain RACF security environment, including creating, modifying, and revoking user IDs, groups, and resource profiles.
  • Implement and enforce least-privilege access controls for datasets, applications, and system resources.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews, audits, and compliance checks to support regulatory requirements such as SOX, PCI, and HIPAA.
  • Analyze security logs, investigate access violations, and troubleshoot authorization failures to maintain a secure mainframe environment.

  • Hands-on experience with RACF administration on z/OS systems.
  • Deep knowledge of RACF profiles, classes, dataset security, and user/group management.
  • Experience with security reporting, audit tools, and analyzing SMF data.
