Job description

Responsibilities:

-Assist in the development and implementation of RACF security systems and its associated software.

-Review requests for new systems or changes to existing systems and evaluate the impact to RACF security LPARS.

-Monitor daily reports to ensure the effectiveness of new and existing security technology.

-Partner with system owners to ensure the integrity, availability and confidentiality of information residing in corporate databases, workstations, servers or being transmitted over the network.

-Assist in the design and implementation of disaster recovery plans.

-Evaluate and implement products and/or procedures to enhance RACF security environments.

-Provide post implementation support for new security technology.

-Research emerging security products, services, protocols and standards, in support of security enhancement and development efforts.

-Recommend, deploy and monitor additional products and tools or enhancements to existing tools in the RACF security environments.

-Provide direct support to the business on RACF security related issues.

-Educate the business about security policies and provide consultation on security issues.

-Assist in representing the security needs of the organization by providing RACF security expertise and assistance on all IT projects.

-Assist with the development and enforcement of IT security policies, guidelines, standards and procedures in a RACF security environment.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in systems or specialized training required.

-5 or more years of relevant work experience as a RACF administrator.

-Experience in the financial services industry a plus.

-Knowledge of industry information security standards and practices, including applicable laws related to data privacy and protection.

-Knowledge of network and security components, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti virus software and data encryption.

-Strong knowledge of IP, TCP/IP and other network administration protocols, including their vulnerabilities and solutions required.

-Knowledge of operating platforms, database and sub-system platforms and products.

-Technical proficiency with RACF administration/support preferred, including Digital Certs and SAS programming a plus.

-Ability to handle multiple priorities, while meeting deadlines.

-Strong problem solving, organizational and project management skills.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.

-Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) a plus

-Security certifications a plus
