What You Will Get To Do:
  • Security software management:
    Configure and maintain mainframe security policies in a Top Secret and RACF environment.
  • Access control:
    Create, update, and manage user IDs, passwords, and access rules to ensure users only have access to necessary data and resources.
  • Required skills and qualifications

  • Technical skills:
    • Proficiency with mainframe security software (RACF or Top Secret).
    • Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and other mainframe tools.
    • Experience with security auditing, vulnerability assessments, and threat analysis.
    • Proficiency in scripting languages like REXX for automation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills:
    • Strong ability to analyze security risks and troubleshoot complex issues.
    • Ability to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Communication and collaboration skills:
    • Excellent communication skills to explain technical risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to work effectively with other teams and influence others.
  • Knowledge:
    • Understanding of compliance standards and audit processes.
    • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
  • Monitoring and auditing:
    Monitor system security, review security logs, and perform regular security audits to detect and report violations and vulnerabilities.
  • Incident response:
    Respond to security incidents and perform forensic analysis to understand and mitigate threats.
  • Policy enforcement:
    Ensure the mainframe environment complies with internal security policies and external regulations.
  • Collaboration:
    Work with application developers, other IT teams, and compliance officers to support application onboarding, resolve security issues, and implement security requirements.
  • Automation:
    Develop and use scripts (like REXX) to automate security tasks and improve efficiency.

Colorado: The expected base salary for the position is between 125000 USD to 145000 USD. Maryland: The expected base salary for the position is between 125000 USD to 145000 USD. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company's discretion.
