Job description

Job Title :  Devops Engineer 

Location :   Saint Paul, MN

Duration : Long Term

Contract 

Job Description:

  • Provide expertise and guidance for projects related to on-prem and AWS to Azure migration
  • Provide strategic vision and thinking with focus on outcomes
  • Provide hands on support for buildouts and migration tasks
  • Assist with converting .NET applications from Kerberos to modern authentication
  • Assist with capturing and implementing network firewall requirements
  • Support and create infrastructure as code (IaC)
  • Form close links with team members and stakeholders
  • Provide configuration, development, and management of Cloud security policies and frameworks (FBI CJIS and MN State policies)
  • Provide cloud network configuration, including subnet provisioning, DNS management, firewall management, WAFs, network peering, routing, private network connection between On-Prem and Cloud infrastructure (i.e. ExpressRoutes or Direct Connect), IPS, and load balancers.
  • Provide Cloud identity management frameworks, AAD/EntraID, RBAC role assignment, and identity federation
  • Provide Integration of IAC tools for provisioning, configuration management, and automation (AWS/Azure)
  • Communicate highly technical concepts, and to introduce new technological tools or methods
  • Provide Knowledge transfer

Desired Skills

  • Five (5) years of expert level experience designing and supporting public cloud environments (Azure [preferred], AWS), including IaaS and PaaS, in both Cloud and hybrid Cloud/On-Premises environments
  • Two (2) engagements lasting more than six months in an DevOps or Azure Cloud Support role
  • Microsoft Azure Certification (AZ-104, AZ-304, or equivalent)
  • Windows Server OS Administration
  • PowerShell
  • Experience with development languages (.NET, C#, Javascript, Python, or Java preferred)
  • Experience working with a container technology
  • Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning experience in the Cloud and Hybrid Cloud/On-Prem
  • Experience with DevSecOps with a Everything as Code mindset, including incorporating security into cloud environments and practices
  • Experience working with Agile teams, specifically Scrum and Kanban
