Job description

Mainframe Assembler

Location: Alpharetta, GA/Omaha, NE (Locals Only)

Relevant Experience: 12+ Years

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Senior mainframe assembler with good hands-on project development using mainframe technologies: Cobol, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS and Assembler.
  • Assembler and CICS knowledge are mandatory.
  • Well versed with ISPF command utilities, IOF, CA7, Endevor, File-Aid/File-master, SPUFI, REXX.
  • Exposure to incident/change management request tools.
  • Exposure to any of the debugging tools for both batch and online environment (e.g., Xpeditor, Abend Aid).
  • Working on scrum model/Jira handling.
  • Experience in doing impact analysis, design document creation, change release, deployment, monitoring and estimation.
  • Complete understanding of SDLC understanding.
  • Willing to get involved in peak season monitoring, weekend support, release monitoring and production support.
  • Strong knowledge in developing and implementing online issuer authorization applications, payment processing.
  • Lead developer in associates and issuer mandates and enhancements.
  • Should involve in code reviews, testing and implementing the projects and perform post implementation validation.
