Job description


Mailroom Processor

Location: On-site in Plano, TX
Training Schedule: 6-8 weeks, Monday-Friday, starting at 12:00 AM or 4:00 AM. End times vary based on daily workload and business needs
Production Schedule: Monday-Friday, starting at 12:00 AM or 4:00 AM. End times vary based on daily workload and business needs. Occasional overtime and extended shifts, including double shifts on Mondays, may be required based on operational needs.
Pay: $16.00 an hour during training, which may be below your state’s minimum wage.  Please take this into consideration when applying. 

Job Summary:

As a Mailroom Processor at Conduent, you will be responsible for processing lockbox accounts from receiving, opening, and scanning processed payments, checks, and other documents. Your attention to detail, sense of urgency, and ability to work collaboratively with your teammates will directly impact our success. This role offers the opportunity to grow both professionally and financially, making it an ideal position for motivated individuals seeking to excel within a supportive and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mail sorting and operating mailroom machines, including alpha/numeric key machine 
  • Scanning incoming and outgoing mail  
  • Assisting in the identification of root causes regarding errors from mailroom  
  • Regularly lift and move items weighing 50 lbs or more
  • Perform clerical task functions as needed 
  • Meeting mail-out deadlines, including reviewing rejects before mail-out  
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adherent to safety protocols and operational procedures
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record, contributing to the smooth flow of mailroom operations

 Requirements:

  • Must be able to clear a criminal background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information.  For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $28,000 - $35,000.
