We are seeking an organized Accounting Clerk to support our finance department. Your primary focus will be assisting with accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks. This role requires high attention to detail and strong data entry skills
Position Essential Functions Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable
    • Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents.
    • Code expenses to the correct accounts and cost centers.
    • Enter invoices into the accounting system accurately.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing discrepancies promptly.

    Accounts Receivable & Billing
    • Generate invoices and send them to customers via email or mail.
    • Process payments received via check, ACH, or credit card.
    • Apply cash to matching customer accounts and open invoices.

    General Ledger & Support
    • Post journal entries for monthly adjustments.
    • Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures.

Qualifications
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to work at 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. but has flexibility for outside and overtime hours as needed
  • The successful candidate will have at least a High School education or equivalent, although a college education is preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Education: High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard ERP/accounting software.
  • Math skills: Strong ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures.
  • Traits: High integrity, strong organization, and clear communication skills.
