Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform general accounting clerical duties.

Major Responsibilities
REQUISITE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES INCLUDE:
Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping practices and procedures; modern office practices, procedures and equipment; record-keeping techniques; English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary. Ability to perform clerical work of average difficulty; operate a computer terminal and microcomputer equipment; accurately and efficiently enter and extract information and data; understand and follow oral and written directions; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Qualifications
TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
Perform general clerical duties in the Accounting Office.
Explain District policies, regulations and procedures.
Operate standard office equipment, including microcomputers to enter and extract information and data.
Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
Greet visitors; answer telephones; assist students, staff and the public.
Receive, open, sort, and route mail.
Type correspondence and other materials.
Manage calendars and set appointments.
Maintain files and records.
