Job description

Magnum Staffing is seeking applicants for Extruder Operator . Pay rate starts at $17


Responsibilities:

  • Inspect the condition of machinery and auxiliary work equipment in order to carry out the extrusion process without interruptions.
  • Calibrate and align the machine to enable product manufacturing, ensuring the extrusion process is carried out without interruptions.
  • Review the critical points of the production process to ensure the extrusion process meets quality standards and the product is obtained according to established parameters.
  • Produce according to the priorities set in the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of customer orders in line with the specified requirements.
  • Assemble the machine cartridges based on operational needs to obtain the product according to established parameters.
  • Coordinate and lead dimensional changes according to assigned work orders, in order to ensure timely delivery of customer orders in line with specified requirements. 
  • Report and identify products and by-products to ensure that the area’s inventory accurately reflects actual quantities and details.    
  • Support the development of preventive and corrective actions as well as improvement projects, in order to help reduce non-conforming products.   
  • Train the extruder operator in process execution to ensure they acquire knowledge of area-specific instructions, in order to guarantee process continuity in the absence of the primary extruder operator.                                                                                                                                 
  • Weigh, identify, and report production data in the SAP system to support inventory and stock control at the Plant.
  • Generate maintenance notifications in SAP to ensure that the necessary maintenance is carried out on the machine or auxiliary equipment when required. 
  • Report unsafe conditions in the Plant and unsafe acts by personnel, provide support during safety inspections, and report incidents and/or accidents in the Plant in coordination with the Safety department.                                                                                                                     
  • Comply with the 5S activity program by applying order and cleanliness to ensure that work areas remain safe.                 


Qualifications:

  • Experience assembling cartridges (process tools), operating the extruder machine, reporting products, and using measuring instruments. Overhead crane operation.
  • Experience in industrial production plants.
  • Experience in industrial production plants: 6 months to 1 year (to be validated with the consulting firm).
  • Operation of industrial machinery or basic knowledge in mechanical maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of metrology.
  • Experience in handling lifting equipment such as overhead cranes.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP Production.
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
