Job description

CNC Machinist Level 1 – 2nd Shift (Temp-to-Hire)

Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking a Level 1 CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be part of the Machining Department supporting production of high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a dependable work ethic , which will align successfully in this team-oriented environment.

Job Title: CNC Machinist Level 1 (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: West St. Louis County (centrally located)

Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 3:20 PM – 1:50 AM

Shift Differential: 10% shift premium

Pay Range: $26 – $30/hour depending on experience for 2nd shift

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and precision machining equipment following work instructions

• Monitor machine feeds and speeds to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to produce quality components

• Perform in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers

• Maintain clean and safe work environment following quality and safety standards

What We're Looking For

• REQUIRED: 2+ years CNC machining experience OR completion of technical/trade school program

• Ability to read blueprints and follow technical specifications

• MUST have own basic machinist tools (calipers, micrometers, deburring tools, etc.)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Dependable, motivated, and eager to learn and grow
