Job Summary:

Project Managers are responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the entire process of construction projects. Responsible for managing budgets and timelines, delegating tasks to subcontractors, and collaborating with other professionals working to complete the project. Construction project managers ensure that all construction projects are completed on time and under budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate project kick off meeting with sales, construction, and the customer to confirm project requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines and other project details.
  • Participate in project team meetings with representatives from construction, engineering, and manufacturing and provide updates on the status of assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and follow up with construction, subcontractors, manufacturing, engineering, or other internal or external contacts as needed to ensure projects progress according to the established timeline and budget.
  • Assist as needed with coordination of equipment rentals, freight, shipment of small packages, etc. to ensure the project is completed on time.
  • Keep manager apprised of any issues that may impact the project budget or schedule (positively or negatively).
  • Work with sales and estimating to prepare quotes and resolve customer issues as well as support future sales efforts.
  • Initiate invoicing to customers and resolve any issues related to the project that may delay payment.
  • Prepare month end financial projections for each project and forecast the remaining costs to be spent.
  • Negotiate change orders with the customer for any changes in the scope of work.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction/ Project Management, Business, Heat Exchangers or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management
  • Previous industry experience a plus
  • Strong IT experience including Excel skills and full Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • 3 plus years of experience in the fabrication of Heat Exchangers or related field.

Training/Certifications/Other

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Knowledge of API 650 & API 653 is a plus
  • Heat Exchangers ASME VIII Div. 1, API 660 & TEMA
  • Must possess a valid Class “C” Driver’s License

Required Travel:

  • Travel up to 25% is required.
  • This is a site-based position requiring you to work on location at our office.
