About the Role

WBM INC is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our CNC machine shop team full time in Wheeling, IL. This is a great opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring precision, consistency, and excellence in every part that leaves our floor. Responsibilities
  • Inspect CNC machined parts and components for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications
  • Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, and gauges
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T tolerances
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records
  • Identify and communicate non-conforming parts to production and engineering teams
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components
Requirements
  • Prior experience in quality inspection within a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and CMM
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Familiarity with ISO or AS9100 quality management systems is a plus
