Job description

CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientedCNC Machinistto join a growing manufacturing team in Olathe, KS. This position is ideal for candidates with strong machining knowledge, blueprint reading ability, and hands-on experience operating CNC equipment in a precision manufacturing environment.

Pay:$25.00 – $30.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Work Hours:Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Summary:

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to manufacture precision parts according to specifications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools
  • Monitor machine operations and make offsets or adjustments as needed
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality and tolerance standards are met
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and assist with process improvements
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep machines/work area clean and organized
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
Requirements:
  • Previous CNC machining experience required
  • Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Qualifications:
  • Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or both
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, or similar controls
  • Setup experience preferred
  • Manufacturing or machine shop experience
  • Technical or vocational machining training is a plus
