Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist 1st shift Fab Shop Manager with all essential operations of the Fab Department (Lasers, brakes, saws, Prodevco, rolling and machine shop.
  • Knowledge of all processes and equipment for the Fab Department.
  • Encourage team members to enhance production, quality and accuracy to maintain departmental objectives.
  • Reviews daily production schedules, help organize work orders and plan work and personnel assignments for the shift.
  • Ensure all materials, tooling and paperwork are present to complete Work Orders.
  • Report to 1st shift Fab Manager when delays occur, estimates time of delay and when operations will be resumed.
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints, use basic hand tool including measurement and inspection tools (tape measures, calipers, square, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot problems
  • Possess strong leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: Education preferred, but not required. Experience required, 3-5 years preferred.
