We are seeking an experienced Industrial Machine Mechanic to inspect, rebuild, repair, and support used industrial machinery. This role is ideal for a hands-on mechanic who is comfortable diagnosing mechanical issues, disassembling large equipment, rebuilding systems, and returning machines to reliable operating condition. Experience working with older or used machinery is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and rebuild used industrial machines and equipment
Disassemble and reassemble mechanical systems including drives, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, chains, belts, and couplings
Repair or replace worn or damaged components and align mechanical systems
Work with motors, gear reducers, and basic electrical components (lockout/tagout, motor swaps, wiring support)
Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical upgrades
Assist with machine installation, commissioning, and testing
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics
Identify improvement opportunities during rebuilds and recommend corrective actions
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Document work performed and report issues or needed parts
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience as an industrial mechanic, millwright, or machinery rebuilder
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial equipment
Comfortable working on older, used, or custom machinery
Experience with bearings, gearboxes, motors, chains, belts, shafts, and alignment
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring tools
Knowledge of industrial safety practices, including lockout/tagout
Preferred Qualifications
Millwright experience
Exposure to roll forming machines, coil lines, or metal processing equipment
Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
Welding or fabrication experience
Ability to work from incomplete or outdated documentation
