A day in this role
Morning in Madison: your first stop is a customer running high-mix parts on a 5-axis VMC. You verify alarms, dive into PLC I/O, and trace an intermittent fault to a loose connector. After lunch, you commission a new 3โaxis mill, level it, check geometry, run test cuts, and coach operators on best practices. You wrap the day by documenting your findings and calling another client to schedule preventive maintenance.

What you will tackle
- Deliver field service across installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for local customers.
- Resolve technical issues and provide light sales support and on-the-spot user training when needed.
- Communicate clearly with operators, engineers, and leaders at customer sites.
- Represent Ellison Technologies with professionalism and integrity.
- Own service cases and projects end-to-end; maintain accurate records and technical documentation.
- Jump in on related tasks as assigned to keep customers productive.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing CNC machining centers and CNC turning centers.
- Well-developed mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Strength in PLC diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting.
- Customer-first mindset with excellent communication skills.
