Straightening Tech
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Metals Technology, a Commercial Heat Treater located in Carol Stream, IL, has been serving the heat-treating needs of companies throughout Illinois for over 50 years. During that time, we have earned an excellent reputation as a provider of high-quality heat-treating and outstanding service. We are seeking a full-time straightener.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Operates hydraulic presses for the straightening of steel.
  • Use steel plates to clamp metal flat.
  • Use a dial indicator and feeler gauges.
  • Follow job traveler requirements.
  • Department cleaning
  • Pack parts accordingly after completion
Qualifications:
  • Ability to use a dial indicator and feeler gauges, or capable of learning.
  • Ability to drive a forklift or be capable of learning to drive.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds frequently.
  • Read and follow all the instructions
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
