Job description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to serve as the first point of contact in our civilian/military sewing and alterations shop. This role involves greeting customers, writing in-detail service orders, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with both military personnel and civilians, and able to provide excellent service in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. Preferred experience in retail/sewing shops, not required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and memorizing military ranks, patches, insignia according to branch requirements, etc. (If you have no previous knowledge, training is provided)
  • Working the computer to make name tapes/name plates
  • Greeting and assisting customers in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Provide information on services, pricing, and turnaround times.
  • Manage drop offs and pick ups of customers orders
  • Handle phone calls
  • Maintain organized records of pending, completed, and picked-up orders.
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and manage the cash register.
  • Track inventory of shop supplies, patches, and standard uniform items; notify management when restock is needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk, lobby, and fitting rooms.
  • Prepping military uniforms and pins
