As a Machine Operator, you will:
Job Description
Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Uses gauging, inspection equipment, and machines for crimping and wire stripping.
  • Read and interpret application tool detail, tool assembly, assembly drawings, and crimp specifications.
  • Provide feedback and direct input for new tooling design and advise on required tooling modifications to ensure proper performance.
  • Documentation control of measurements and retention of completed crimp requests.
  • Work with New Product Design teams regarding crimping process capabilities on prototype designs and new product development projects, including detailed measurements and capability studies on such projects.
  • Provide root cause problem solving for crimp performance on preproduction and new product design of advanced terminal systems and application tooling for such systems during all phases of product validation testing.
  • Look for proficiency improvements in all aspects of the crimping process to reduce operational costs and eliminate wasteful practices.
  • Monitor tooling inventory to avoid the loss of production time and/or product accuracy.
  • Ensure that all potentially hazardous materials used in the crimping department are used safely (personal protective equipment) and stored properly.
  • Understand, support and contribute to current Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO)and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

This is a full-time, Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years of prior experience operating automated production equipment utilizing 3 Directional movement.

Pay range: $18.00 - $22.00/ hr
