Job description

Position Summary:

The Machine Operator will oversee our computer numeric controlled machines. The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring our company produces quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and client standards.


Education and Knowledge:

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal directions in English.
  • A high school diploma is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.

Experience/Skills and Competencies:

  • Will train the right candidate.
  • Good computer and mathematical skills.
  • Possess a general understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness to work flexible and overtime hours as required.
  • Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and manage machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding, and milling.
  • Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
  • Ensure the machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
  • Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
  • Ensure the results of the machining process align with customer expectations.
