Job Title: Powder Coat Machine Operator
Location: Fife, WA
Company: Milgard Windows & Doors
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23-$28/hour (DOE)
Job Summary
The Powder Coat Machine Operator is responsible for operating powder coating equipment to apply finishes to pultruded fiberglass/composite products. This role ensures proper application, curing, and overall quality while meeting safety, production, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and adjust powder coating machines and spray systems
  • Load, unload, and properly position pultruded parts on racks or conveyors
  • Apply powder coatings according to work instructions and specifications
  • Monitor and control curing ovens, temperatures, and line speeds
  • Inspect coated products for coverage, thickness, color consistency, and defects
  • Perform routine cleaning, minor adjustments, and basic machine maintenance
  • Accurately document production and quality data as required
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including PPE and material handling guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing or powder coating experience preferred
  • Ability to read work orders and follow standard operating procedures
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a hot, industrial environment
