Machine Operator

Job Type:Direct hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientedMachine Operatorto join our production team. This position is responsible for operating equipment within one or more manufacturing value streams to produce high-quality, defect-free products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Successful candidates will follow standard work procedures, maintain quality standards, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow production Schedule Boards and Hour-by-Hour boards to meet daily goals
  • Operate printing and production equipment according to order specifications
  • Perform hand-finishing tasks such as laminating, stack cutting, and sheeting as required
  • Conduct final pre-run inspections and perform quality checks throughout production runs
  • Ensure completed jobs meet quality and quantity standards
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Handle and properly dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals, including inks and cleaning solvents, according to company procedures
  • Follow standard work instructions, written procedures, and established processes
  • Troubleshoot routine equipment and production issues and escalate complex concerns to supervisors
  • Communicate effectively with team members across shifts regarding job status, updates, and production issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic computer skills and mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to accurately read a ruler to within1/64 inch
  • Strong troubleshooting, technical, and analytical abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong work ethic and dependability
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Mechanical aptitude, including experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment assembly/disassembly
  • Willingness to learn new processes and participate in cross-training opportunities

Physical Requirements
