Job description

Position Description – Automatic Machine Operator I
Company: Quality Steel Corporation
Reports to: Department Manager
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Safety First, Safety Always, and meet or exceed Quality expectations.
  • Inspect equipment to be utilized prior to shift start.
  • Operate machinery to manufacturer’s specifications, meeting time budgets for finished product.
  • Control and adjust machine settings as required.
  • Perform Quality Control. Visually inspect product for defects prior to conveyance. Report defects to Supervisor.
  • Follow reporting and record-keeping procedures, and report issues to Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation and machine(s) utilized.
Experience:
  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, humidity, cold).
  • Skilled in working with computer-operated and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to safely lift/move up to 60 lbs.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools.
  • Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members to accomplish departmental goals and to improve operations.

  • High School Diploma or GED
