Job description

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

The position will provide perform mixing, pelleting and drying responsibilities within the Custom Diet facility to include but not limited to the following:

  • Mix diets utilizing both vertical paddle mixers and horizontal ribbon mixer

  • Pellet diets utilizing both table-top pellet mills and free-standing pellet mill

  • Transfer pelleted diet to drying trays and load and unload drying trays into and out of vacuum dryers

  • Complete and maintain mixing, pelleting and drying quality record documentation to ensure quality system compliance

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned by management

  • Overtime as needed including nights and or weekends

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Completed High School education

English communication - written, reading and oral

Neat and legible handwriting

Developed and accurate basic math ability - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately

Ability to accurately transpose written and printed information to quality record documents

Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time

Perform repetitive tasks

Additional Notes:

Physical mobility within facility

Ability to lift 55 lb. objects from floor to shoulder height

Ability to climb and descend stairs and vertical ladders

Aptitude to comprehend solid and liquid process flow

Willing and able to work overtime as needed (including nights and weekends)
