Job description

The Machine Operators will set-up, maintain and operate the rotational plastic mold press. Main responsibility is to efficiently produce and inspect rotationally molded parts according to Yamaha-Kracor quality standards while achieving targeted cycles.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrate support of the Yamaha-Kracor Vision and Culture through verbal and physical actions of the Yamaha-Kracor Heritage, Traditions, Shared Values, Process Elements, Traits and Behaviors.
  • Responsible for Safety, Quality, Production Efficiency and Continuous Improvements in production.
  • Actively work to minimize Quality Returns, Quality Holds, and Powder Loss.
  • Accurately read, understand, and follow production schedule and set-up sheets.
  • Accurately complete daily production paperwork and press documentation.
  • Inspect parts and products for potential defects or suspicious quality.
  • Promote and enforce a tour-ready safe work environment, every day.
  • Authority to shutdown machines for repairs, quality, or safety concerns.
  • Willing to perform other tasks as needed and pertaining to the Machine Operator position.

PHYSICAL NEEDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Standing: Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Lifting/Carrying/Pushing: Lifting/carrying parts, material, and product of 30 pounds on a regular basis and 70 pounds occasionally.
  • Hand Tasks: Grasping, pinching reaching, handling, fingering, picking, or otherwise working with fingers and use of hand and arm tasks.
  • Climate: Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 60 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment: Must wear all required PPE including, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and gloves.

  • Must climb steps, maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling, have good eye-hand coordination, stoop, bend, reach, handle, finger, feel and push.
