Job description

MPS is seeking talented Operators to work in our York, South Carolina, Manufacturing facility with approximately 400 employees.  You will perform work associated with the operations of assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Shift Available:

2nd Shift – 3 pm-11 pm Monday-Friday, every other Saturday 11 am-5 pm ($18.50/HR)

3rd Shift – 11 pm-7 am Sunday-Thursday, every other Friday 11 pm-5 am ($19.00/HR)

Hourly Rate - $17.50, plus quarterly incentives.

What You’ll Do

  • Operated assigned mechanical equipment and applicable hand tools
  • Complete first piece inspection as needed
  • Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints in applicable
  • Use basic measuring instruments
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role

  • Relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Basic technical understanding of machinery
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and machine specifications, a plus
  • Problem-solving and safety awareness
