Job description

Ambassador Personnel is now hiring an experienced Machine Operator in Alma, GA!

Are you an experienced machine operator who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Ambassador Personnel is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to join a growing production team. If you have experience operating and troubleshooting production equipment while maintaining high quality and safety standards, we’d love to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production equipment while ensuring product quality and production goals are met.

Duties include:

Set up production lines with materials, ingredients, fruit, and other required products.

Set up and operate line equipment including Evo, Pro-Seal, labelers, printers, tapers, and other production machinery.

Properly adjust and calibrate machine settings.

Inspect production lines and equipment for quality and efficiency.

Perform periodic machine testing throughout production.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues during production.

Monitor production output to identify defects or issues that could cause downtime.

Enter and verify production information, including pack dates, best-by dates, and lot numbers.

Monitor product weights to ensure specifications are met.

Maintain accurate records of daily waste and product rework.

Clean and maintain all production equipment and work areas.

Safely operate complex production machinery.

Load raw materials and ingredients onto production lines as needed.

Verify final production counts.

Identify equipment malfunctions and report major mechanical issues.

Document daily production start and end times.

Record all production issues, downtime, and equipment concerns.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Experience operating production equipment such as Pro-Seal machines preferred.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing procedures.
  • Commitment to quality standards and workplace safety.
  • Ability to follow all SOPs and GMPs.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Willingness to assist on the production line as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime and extended hours when required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Management, Maintenance, Quality Control, Shipping, and production team members.
