We are looking for Machine Operators to join our team in Milton, ON. This position offers a continental rotating shift schedule. 12-hour Shifts Rotate from Day to Night weekly.

You must be able and willing to work both day and night shifts.

  • 12-hour shifts are (days and nights) 8:00 - 8:00 Or 7:00 - 7:00

Your future team:

You will become part of the Operations team on the production line, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Each team has up to 9-12 team members who work together to produce high quality stone wool products.

What you will be doing:

  • Clean work area regularly throughout the shift

  • Feeding and operation of the equipment on the packaging lines

  • Report mechanical and electrical issues immediately

  • Hand stacking, granulating of waste as required

  • Operate forklift and floor washer as required (when qualified)

  • Preparing new sets of SPC filters and perform filter changes

  • Keep the tool storage areas clean and organized

  • General cleanliness of the recycle room, clean afterburner and dispose of waste

  • Clean Pendulum, DDD and LHC conveyor areas

  • Change out cooling zone filters, tables, ducting and fan

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and ability to work in a safe manner

  • Prior experience in machine set-up and computers

  • Good understanding of how equipment operates to clear equipment safely

  • Forklift experience/certification

  • Strong work ethic, Team player who can work well with others

  • Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions/processes

  • Ability to adhere to a continental rotating 12-hour shift schedule

  • Self-motivated with high energy and Positive attitude

  • Excellent communication, time management, punctuality, respect and teamwork

Work Environment & Conditions:

  • Fast-paced high volume production facility

  • Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 hours per day

  • The ability to lift 25 kgs and the ability to lift to 50 kgs with another person

  • The ability to use basic hand tools (air chisel, grinder, utility knife) in a safe manner

  • Ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height

  • Ability to wear protective safety equipment for several hours daily
