Today, Clow Valve Company operates at two locations: Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Riverside, Calif. The Oskaloosa plants include iron and brass foundries, a machine shop, assembly, finished goods warehousing, shipping and administrative offices. Job Description
Purpose:
Ultimately responsible for setting the speed and tone of production by proactively scheduling and allocating resources, in service of delivering quality products to exceed our customers' demands.
Key Performance Indicators:
Sustainability: Meet targeted monthly build requirements by +/- 2%
Customer Experience: Meet targeted OTD requirements by +/- 2%
Employee Experience: Create and implement 2 inventory optimizations per year
Core Function of Position:
Planning (60%): Analyze inventory levels and customer demands in Ax by utilizing current scheduling tools to prioritize and release orders. Proactively create and organize printed orders, barcodes, and bills of material for production to meet the daily build requirements.Distribute orders to the respective resources delegated by the responsible General Foreman.
Communications (25%): Communicate across all departments to adjust production for expedited products when necessary to meet customer satisfaction. Proactively collaborate with production counterparts by creating a shared responsibility for resource allocation and delegation in service of quality products as well as on-time delivery. Identify production gaps that may interfere with the daily production goals and communicate those gaps to the responsible parties to remove production inefficiencies.
Inventory Control (15%): Facilitate inventory control by identifying and addressing inventory movement and/or transaction issues. Periodically performing scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts to ensure sustained inventory accuracy.
