Job description

Electric Machine Control, Inc. is looking for a Field Service Control Technician to play a key role in supporting customers from project concept through commissioning. This position primarily serves clients in Georgia and Florida, with opportunities to work across other southeastern states. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC, instrumentation, and electrical control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with field equipment such as overloads, starters, switches, and wiring.
  • Interpret and work from electrical drawings, manuals, and test equipment (voltmeters, signal meters, etc.).
  • Analyze process control applications from sensors through driven equipment back to the control system.
  • Prepare detailed reports including troubleshooting analysis, root cause findings, corrective recommendations, and preventative measures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers in both technical and commercial settings.
  • Travel as required, including periodic overnight stays.

Requirements

  • 3โ€“5 years of experience with PLCs, instrumentation, and electrical control systems.
  • Must be proficient in Office365 suite tools.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical control system troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
