Job description

Salary: $23 - $38/hour (DOE)

We are looking for CNC Lathe Machinists to join our 1st and 2nd shifts in Santa Clara, CA.


CNC Lathe Machinist Responsibilities:


  • Reviews work orders, drawings, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters to run parts according to customer blueprints and instructions

  • Ability to read and interpret CNC programs to maintain close tolerances (within +/- .0001)

  • Sets up lathe production equipment for junior CNC Lathe Machinists and conducts tests, analyses, and calibrates components

  • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut

  • Enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established company policy, safety procedures, and vendor standards

  • Installs, maintains, repairs, rebuilds, and operates a variety of lathe machining tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Experience in a precision machine shop environment
  • Experience on CNC Mill equipment performing set-up and program prove-outs
  • Must interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
  • At least 6 months of experience in machine tool operation or 6 months machining training, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training


Preferred Skills:

  • Training in basic shop and measurement math, including linear measurement, metrics, algebra and geometry
  • Familiarity with ISO documentation and processes is a big plus


Pay:

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Employees on the 2nd shift receive an addition 10% differential towards their pay
    • 10% differential = Hourly Pay X .10
  • Eligible for Overtime
  • Opportunity for a one-time retention bonus after a set number of completed regular work hours
