Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a CNC programmer will be responsible for reading and interpreting design blueprints, programming the CNC machines, and adjusting the machine settings until the desired specifications are produced for the component outlined in the program.

This position is excellent for anyone with a strong attention to detail and a positive team-oriented attitude looking to grow their skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inputting the product design into the computer modeling software.
  • Perform test runs and adjusts until the resulting product meets blueprint specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models. or NC machine to drill, thread, bore or mill.
  • Supply operators with setup sheets and tool list.
  • Supply operators with method and dimensions so operator can check parts turned, per blueprint or models specifications.
  • Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
  • Keep a record of previous job programs and setup sheets.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Follow operators’ responsibilities.
  • Train new staff machine operator procedures.
  • Working with the operator to ensure cleaning and maintenance of the machine is completed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by production supervisor or general manager.

Job Skills and Requirements

  • Three years’ experience with a wide range of CNC machine tools or NC machines.
  • Knowledge of CNC milling is required.
  • Surfcam experience required
  • Minimum of three years’ experience writing complex programs with 3, 4, or 5 axis, different style threads, close tolerances, or turning.
  • Minimum three years working in the machine tool trade, quality department or serve as an apprenticeship.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job routing sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work after-hours when required.
  • Good math skills require some geometry is helpful.
