Job Duties
  • Electricians will program and/or alter machine control logic programs for CNC machines as required by the plant electrical engineer, or the electrical department Supervisor. The electrician will also program or alter programs for robots and P.C. controlled machines as required by the plant electrical engineer or electrical Supervisor. The machine builders initial programming logic and programming the machine builder deems proprietary will be the machine builder's responsibility.
  • Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, Robot recovery and repair.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and tests electrical fixtures, apparatus, control equipment, and wiring used in the alarm, radio, communications, light and power system of buildings or other construction projects, machines, or other mechanical equipment.
  • Plans proposed installation from blueprints, sketches, or specifications.
  • Secures panel boards, switch boxes, pull boxes and other concealed or recessed equipment to the frame of the structure prior to the erection of walls,
  • Measures, cuts, threads, bends, assembles, and installs conduit which connects the various outlets, panels and boxes or machines, using tools such as hacksaw, pipe benders, and threading tools,
  • Installs and connects equipment to wiring system; tests circuits for continuity and proper connections, using a battery and buzzer, or light bulb, installs buss duct, main power lines and systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and all other electrical equipment included in power systems.
  • Keeps electrical equipment such as wiring, motors, switches, switch boards, panel boards, and electrical mechanisms in good repair and operating condition.
  • Follow all safety policy and procedures.
  • Close all work orders assigned to in E-maint each day accurately and timely.
  • Perform other duties incidental to the job, as set forth herein.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally sit, crawl, reach, twist, push, pull, grip, pinch, crouch/squat, forward bend, forward sit, forward stand, and climb stairs/ladders.
  • Ability to frequently stand and walk.
  • Ability to exert light lifting and carrying under 25 lbs up to 33% of the time.
  • Ability to exert moderate lifting and carrying of 25-49lbs up to 33% of the time.
  • Ability to exert heavy lifting and carrying of 50+lbs up to 33% of the time.
  • Ability to occasionally perform repetitive motion activities such as hand/wrist, forearm/elbow, and shoulder.

Desired Skills & Expertise
  • Valid Journeyperson card or have eight (8) years of practical trade-related experience and can prove same with the properly notarized documents or work record.
  • Proven Experience with new equipment installation, hydraulics, knowledge of industrial power distribution.
  • Furnace thermal couple calibration, furnace inspection and repair.
  • Knowledge of 480, 110, 220, and 3 phase electrical systems, able to read electrical schematics.
  • Preventative maintenance experience and E Maintenance, Rockwell Logix platform, Fanuc robotics and CNC.
  • Proven organization and communication skills, including ability to effectively present information.
